About the author
Mark Mitterlehner
Writer. Observer. Someone who has been stuck — and found a way out.
Mark Mitterlehner spent years building a career centered on solving hard, technical problems — work that taught him just as much about people as it did about the problems themselves. Along the way, he found himself drawn again and again to a simpler observation: most of what holds people back isn't the situation in front of them, it's the voice running underneath it.
Stop It, Say It, Do It! grew out of years of watching that voice at work — in colleagues, in friends, in family, and in himself. The framework in this book took shape gradually, tested and refined through his own experience moving from heartache toward something steadier.
Mark lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Kimberly, and is a father to two sons and three stepsons. This is his first book.
Why this book?
Most self-help books are too long. They make a single point and then spend two hundred pages proving it, padding it, and repeating it in slightly different language. By the time you finish, you feel informed but not changed.
This book is different. It's short because the framework is simple. It includes a workbook because exercises only work when you actually do them. And it's direct because the people who need it most don't have time for anything else.
